Dr. & Professor Sylvio Panizza (Award)

“…a life devoted to the study and research of medicinal plants.”

In October 2019, Dr. Sylvio Panizza received a posthumous tribute for his lifetime of work advancing the science of medicinal plants.

During the 20th São Paulo Pharmaceutical Congress, he was named to the Panel of Illustrious Pharmacists, an honor from the Senior Committee of the CRF-SP recognizing professionals who shaped the field in São Paulo.

His granddaughter, Isabella Panizza, attended the ceremony to celebrate his legacy. In her own career, Isabella specializes in foreign-trade operations and outsourcing, overseeing the regulation, planning, and tracking of import-export activities and performance metrics.
